Demo test run…

November 1, 2008

Mike “the mosher” is a sweet dude and has always taken interest in project of mine. From the kill decibel to crossroad he has supported the bands I have played in. He asked if I would make him a demo tape of our recordings and I agreed. I’ve always had keen interest in design so I went the extra DIY mile with this project. After making this 1 of 1 for mike I decided why not use this as a template and make a few demo’s for our last show. So we should have “LOCALS ONLY” demo tapes for our last show, come out have fun and buy our shit.

Jose from EG asked if we would play tonight just so happens we are practicing tonight anyways so why not play a show too.

We played an after party show for the terror/death before dishonor/ trapped under ice show that happened earlier on that night. I have pleasantly surprised to see that a ton of people showed up. The rumor was thrown out there that Trapped under ice would do another set for the stuck in the city bro’s. I had a lot of fun at this show it was wicked humid in Teranga but it added to night and made everyone on edge. thanks to greg scott hoibak and vik for thinking bout us yet again. here is the poster and some photo’s from the show.

We took two days out Mr. Jason Oyoung’s life to record 5 tracks. The two days had more ups then downs but it was an adventure as we expected. It was amazing to share this experience with such a close friend like Jay. He has come a long way in his quality of recording, Im super stoked on how this came out.

here are some pictures from the two days!

Greg Benedetto is a sweet dude Ive known from the Toronto hardcore scene for some years now.  Just the definition of a real fan of music. Goes to shows and supports touring and local bands to the max. The Toronto and southern Ontario hardcore scene was in a lull there for a while due to many local bands breaking up and the lack of all ages venues for shows. Greg has taken matters into his own hands and has shown what one person can contribute to keeping the local music scene alive and kicking. He has set up his diy promotional company “stuck in the city”
which has been bringing alot of great current bands to Toronto as well as given opportunity to alot of new local acts too. His biggest recent success has been the Fucked up
weekend DVD which I suggest you all buy! There are alot of amazing performances on this thing like: double negative…millennial reign…mind eraser…brutal knights….career suicide…omegas and of course fucked up. If you can get anything outta his blog and attitude is support your local scene and contribute: start a zine, start a band, mosh at a show, buy local and touring bands merch and just be apart of something we say matters to us.

In the begining…

So as quickly as it came, it vanished just as fast. Our first show ran smoothly and we want to thank everyone who showed up and watched us. We have gotten nothing but positive feedback from friends old and new so thats exciting. here are some pictures from our set.

Now we will be working on pumping out our record. We plan on putting out a 7″ and a record release show will in the works, more info soon keep checking back!
